Bright and beautiful, yet shy, Juliana spent a good deal of her childhood and adolescence sheltered by the orphanage in which she was raised. It was when she turned eighteen years of age and left her accommodations for a future as a dancer that she began to truly experience the sights and sounds of the living world around her. Overwhelmed by the cruelty of the world she was to be thrust into, Juliana longed for the warmth and kindness of the orphanage from whence she came, feeling lost and frightened.
